Elisabeth and Vincent Junek Gathering and Tour

The Veteran Car Club Litomyšl together with State Castle Litomyšl organize The ride in memory of Elisabeth Junek and Vincent Junek. The event is organized under the patronage of the town of Litomyšl from the 12th to 14th of August and is supported by printing company HRG and restaurant Karlov. As previous year the event is part of the Federation Cup Championship 2016. The registration is running.
The tradition started last year when classic car lovers met for the first time and this year it recalls the remembrance of the Juneks again. The participants will honour the car racer´s memory by the ride to Dolní Čermná. The commemorative plaque will be unveiled near the place where he grew up togehter with the local council and friends.
This year´s programme will be started by the presentation of the second edition of the book written by Elisabeth Junek “Má vzpomínka je Buggati” where new chapters were added by Vladimir Junek. The title of second edition has gained second part “Má vzpomínka je Buggati – Umění žít” The official introduction of this unique book will take place in Litomysl on Friday in the afternoon. There will the possibility to purchase the book and obtain Mr. Junek´s autograph.
The visitors will have the opportunity to see the exposed classic cars at the castle courtyard on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning and Saturday evening. The cars will leave the courtyard after 8am on Saturday morning through the lower castle gate and will pass through the town square. There will be commented departure when the vintage cars will be passing through the gate. The visitors will have the opportunity to see the vintage cars on Sunday morning as well. There will be presented beautiful cars made before 1948 as well as unique Bugatti pieces.
Registered participants can see cultural monuments on Friday evening and relax after the arrival while listening to live music. On Saturday morning after the welcome speech the participants will take off for the ride to Dolní Čermná close to Letohrad (birthplace of Vincent Junek) where lunch will be served. Local celebrations will take place in Dolní Čermná and the participants can enjoy them. After the arrival back to Litomyšl and refreshments we would like to invite everybody to see a historical fashion show at the castle court yard. After a small break there will start the gala evening where the prizes will be announced. It will be followed by 20s and 30s live music party performed by Big band of Musical school of Litomyšl. On Sunday there will be the interview with Mr.Vladimir Junek, sightseeing and the visit of local brewery Veselka.
